Here, I am sharing some destinations around Delhi which can be a true paradise for explorers. Devoid of tourists, these destinations can help you enjoy rains in its true bliss!
Lose yourself in the dreamy mist that engulfs this mesmerizing village, which serves more as a transit town to those rushing to bask in the beauty of the bustling town of Mussoorie. This hamlet draws its name from the lake dedicated to Goddess Sati, the consort of Lord Shiva. The wooden carved temple offers awe-inspiring views of snow laden peaks and the enchanting forests adjoining this hilly settlement. You can walk for miles through the verdant forests and quiet hamlets when in Kanatal. The sweet sound of silence, friendly folk and the crisp mountain air offer an experience unparalleled. The Tehri Dam located at the confluence of rivers Bhilaganga and Bhagirathi, the Surkhanda Temple steeped in ancient legend and white water rafting activities are the prime attractions that Kanatal has to offer. The tiny temples, wild flowers, pine forests and apple orchards that adorn this place will soak away all your exhaustion once you are here.

Narkanda is located in the Shimla District, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by the Shivalik Range, amazing views are all around you in Narkanda. The beautiful hills around, many of them snow-capped, are the best views you can wish for. You’ll find yourself surrounded by lush greenery in the monsoon season, as it normally snows in winters.
The one thing people find lovely about this place is the Hatu Peak, which is only 5 km away from Narkanda. The road itself is an adventure, as it is narrow and not properly made, but driving over it is still possible. Hatu Peak is at 11000 feet above sea level and provides a breathtaking view of the mountains covered in snow. The peak is home to a famous temple, which has been recently renovated but is in fact very old.
